ahha, i completely understand the affinity
and it's good to hear that you try to find the 'perfect shot' before you actually take it
to be honest, i do the same thing all the time
only i don't own a camera...
i kind of just stare at the image for a while and move on with my day =/

You may =/ but good compositional skills go a long way.

I know many folk that will go out with just an empty slide and compose yet not record, just to get into the mindset.

Thanks, I have a certain affinity for that kind of thing. I could shoot big equipment all day. It's quite complex.

I can't draw so when I do "studies" like a painter would do, I just go nuts. Well, not nuts, I began photography on film so I remember how much developing used to hurt, money wise.

I always try to compose and expose well instead of just hitting the continuous shot button and seeing what comes out later.
