Got a miniflood of macro work coming.

I am going to get a mint N90s from a gentleman in florida, hopefully this week.
It comes equipped with the MB-10 grip and the data cable. He's throwing in a Palm IIIxe and the N90 Buddy software, yay, no more keeping a shooting log, the camera remembers up to four rolls of 36 exposures. It can be set to expose the first frame of the roll with a log # so you can keep track.
He's got the boxes and manuals for everything, too. I guess he bought the camera and then bought a D100 soon afterward so it went unused. When he shoots film, he uses his F2 most of the time, that's why he's getting rid of the N90.
Pretty sweet deal.
Now if only I could find someone with a bunch of frozen Vericolour III...

...but if you were the real thing, you'd scare me more.

I've got another camera body, this time from my brother's girlfriend. That's the second camera in as many weeks.

It "feels" correct, unlike the Pentax, which needs a CLA pretty badly. I was confident enough to use it at xmas this year. I showed up with a no-name flash that came with it and ended up stealing Gamma's hyoooge sunpak flash, she had used it on her camera. Which, coincidently, is the same as the one I got. A canon AE-1 Program. It's a rather dreadful body, metering wise. You can't tell the shutter speed or aperture from the viewfinder and the meter only tells you what it feels the aperture should be. It has the same squeeky shutter that every canon A* I have ever seen has, at least they're consistant.

Haven't decided what I'll do with it. It's a battery operated shutter so it's not good for long bulb exposures. I don't have any good glass for it. Maybe I'll sell it and parlay the money towards a D100(lawl) or some macro extension tubes.

So the first attempt at shooting the moon in years went so-so.

I'll probably be getting my great-uncle's old asashi pentax m42 body.
He had all SMC Takumar lenses which were supposedly pretty nice. We'll see how it goes.

I guess I'll just upload Allfather over the next few days. I had hoped to write little poems to go with every shot but I just don't have the muse for it at the moment. I'll just go back and add to them if anything comes to me.

My friend =flumpie is forever reminding me that the best camera is the one in your hand and he's right.
I should stfu and shoot.

-EDIT- I'm waiting to get my flash card back from Kathy, I had to give her some pictures I did on the card to get them printed. Apparently I'm making $100 for doing some work for a lady. Which is good since I have about 50cents to my name.
Well, -$5000 to my name, really.

I'm planning on going shooting and doing long exposure shots. Maybe tonight. See how this thing holds up, noise-wise. I say "long" exposure but it cuts out at 2 seconds. :P

Maybe I'll say fuck it, buy some fuji neopan and whip out the old nikon and go nuts.

Note to self: go through attic for old negs for kathy.
